Our summer has been pretty fun so far. In June we didn't do much, but we've had a busy July. We took Kinlee to ride go-carts one day, we heard she could ride on one of our laps, but when we got there they said she was too small so we let her play some games at the arcade and she had fun riding some rides. The week of the 4th we went to Island Park and stayed with my Dad and Kenzee, they were up there for a week, but we were only able to go for a few days. It was so beautiful, we camped right off the river. The river is really slow and is only about 1 1/2 ft deep so we were able to take the kids down in a raft. Kinlee & Kenzee had fun leaning over the edge to play in the water, and of course Hayes took a nap! One day while we were there we took a ride to Big Springs where a guy named John Sacs built a cabin and all its furnishings by hand years ago, it was amazing. Oh, and the best part, on the way back we stopped and had Huckleberry ice cream, YUMMY!While we were camping there were a few sightings of a couple black bears around camp -lucky- anyways the picture of the paw print in the mud is from one of them. On the way home we stopped at Bear World in Rexburg, it was the coolest thing ever, I highly recommend it! You drive through and there are bears EVERYWHERE! We had one come right up and put it's nose on the window, and a couple other's come right up to the car. Then they have a petting zoo with deer, baby deer, goats, pigs & chickens. The kids thought it was fun. After we got done there the girls went over and rode rides, we were worried if Kinlee would like them, but of course you can see her waving over the edge of the one ride. I tell ya she really is a little dare devil! My Grandpa Brown passed away about a month and a half ago, so on the way home Friday we stopped in Pocatello and stayed the night in a hotel with my mom and everybody so we could help clean some things out Saturday. Friday night was fun, we went swimming and watched fireworks since it was the 4th. When we left Pocatello Saturday we stopped in Malad and visited my friend Mandi who was here from Oklahoma, it was fun to see her and show her the kids. This past weekend we went camping up on Sourdough, I love it up there, we went on 4-wheeler rides, fishing and hung out by the fire, and of course we ate good! We love cooking in the dutch ovens. We went to the park the other day but we went in the middle of the day and it was WAY TOO HOT! My list of things to do the rest of the summer includes: Going swimming more, going to the zoo, going to the dinosaur park, riding horses and going camping more, so watch for more picts...
