Make your own background and header...

Hey if anyone wants to make your own background and header there is a tutorial on nicoleyoungdesigns.blogspot.com she has the cutest digital scrapbooking kits ever. Anyways I tried it out today and it's actually pretty easy with her directions, check out my new background and header, they match, I was really excited to learn how to do it so I thought I'd share the info. I used Nicoles "After Midnight" kit she's offering for free on her blog. Oh by the way, she's also offering a backgroud kit with 3 free background that are way cute if you don't want to make your own.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We had such a great day, Kinlee had a blast, we could barely get her to bed, she just wanted to stay up and play with all her fun new things. Hayes' favorite thing was the wrapping paper, he would seriously get so excited to play with it. I'll post more later about what we all got but for now I want to go play with all my new things (Trev spoiled me and got me a new camera, the Canon Rebel, WOO HOO, and my photoshop elements that I need to install on my computer!!!) Good Night...

Thankful November...

K, here goes for my huge post since I've been a slacker and haven't added anything in like a month. We'll start from the first.

The 2nd Saturday in November Trev and I got a wild hair and decided to drive to Wendover and spend the night. I was pregnant when I turned 21 so I had never "legally" gambled so off we went. We got there about 8 and ate dinner then gambled for a bit, I hate wasting money so we played a couple slots and I sat down at a 21 table and was able to last a couple hours on my $20, that was enough of gambling, so we went back to our cheapo hotel room and went to bed, got up and came home. It was a nice little get away, but we really missed the kids.

K, I just have to tell Trev thanks for being the best Daddy in the world, Kinlee absolutely loves hunting and I actually think it's really cute. She is such a little princess girly girl, but then she can go out and get dirty hunting and camping, I love it! So this is a picture of Kinlee goose hunting with Trever, he took her out on the boat duck hunting too but I don't have a picture of that. When she got home she wanted to feed Hayes his dinner and of course I thought it was cute...

Back to Kinlee hunting, we went to Smith and Edwards one day and Kinlee found this gun that she wanted SO BAD, out of all the toys in the whole store this is what she wanted, besides wanting to be like her Dad the little boys across the street that she plays with has toy guns and I think she wanted to be like them. Especially with Christmas coming up we told her she couldn't have it, well Trev and Kinlee finally came up with the deal that if Kinlee went home and counted her money and could pay for half then he would bring her back to get it. As you can see she got it. Well they actually both like to watch hunting shows and as you can see, here is Kinlee shooting the bear that's on tv.

I don't like to go hunting when it's windy and raining or snowing like my crazy husband, so while the weather was still nice Trever took me out on Matt's duck boat to go duck hunting. We didn't have much time and only saw 1 duck but we still had fun. Here is Trev driving the boat with our dog Bodie, me freezing on the way back and the beautiful sunset.

OUR THANKSGIVING WEEK

It was a crazy and fun week. Steven (Trever's friend from North Carolina) was here with us all week to go hunting. We had a great time with him here, and I absolutely LOVED his cooking, my kids wouldn't leave him alone, especially Kinlee but he was a good sport and played with her so cute. Then Steve's kids (my moms husband) from Washington and Oregon were here, it was fun to see them and all their kids, they've grown up so much. I decided to do a slide show of the rest of the picts because I'm really indecisive and can't decide which ones to leave out, so here they all are. There's a little bit of everything from Hunting to my Christmas decorations.

Our Thanksgiving day is kinda crazy so I'll explain the pictures a little bit. We went to Trever's parents for breakfast, then my moms for dinner, then we went with my Dad to Village in where my Grandma Talbot took everyone so we went and visited with everyone since we had just ate, then we went to my cousin Dusty & Camille's house for pie.

Then how can I not talk about BLACK FRIDAY, I was after a Leapster for Kinlee & Elle so I showed up at Walmart after 2 hours of sleep at 2:45am! Pure Craziness, luckily I was the 2nd person there and got what I needed, but seriously some of the people really need to take a chill pill! At 4:45 me and the lady next to me just went for it and the Leapsters were gone at like 4:45:01. When I grabbed my Leapsters there were people on the floor, people pushing from every direction, I seriously couldn't even take a step, luckily Brooke was there and I handed them off to her and got my balance back before falling over. After I got out of all the mess the huge box fell over on everyone! Then we went to Shopko, Tai Pan & the Mall, I was COMPLETELY exhausted by the time I got home, luckily Kinlee and Hayes both took a nap at the same time so I got one too YEAH!

Saturday we got our family pictures taken with my moms family and went to Farr's afterwards for yummy ice cream.

Then of course I had to get my house ready for Christmas, it was so fun having a little helper this year, except for some reason I couldn't find some of my decorations, but come to find out a couple days later, Kinlee had stashed them in her kitchen. lol. Hayes has learned this army crawl thing and gets around everywhere now, including under my tree! It's pretty cute though and he really doesn't do much harm (yet).

My First Page

Well here is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking, I wasn't really making this page for any reason, more just learning how to do the layer thing but hey I FINALLY figured it out... Hopefully (cross my fingers) my wonderful husband will get me Photoshop Elements for Christmas since right now I only have the trial version! I'm not very creative but hopefully over time I will get the hang of it. For anyone that hasn't tried it yet, you might not want too unless you want to be totally addicted to it!

*By the way if anyone wants Photoshop Elements 7 for Christmas they have it on sale until Dec. 7 at Costco online (or at the store with a coupon, which I threw away) for $49.99! Awesome deal huh...

This is an old slide show that I'm just going to add to this post

So many things to talk about...

We got our family picts taken a couple weeks ago, we haven't got them back yet, but Cathy (who took them) put some on her blog cwallphotos.blogspot.com if ya wanna see some... :)

K, so I've been trying to think of things I'm putting on my wish list for Christmas, and I'm thinking I want to try the whole digital scrapbooking thing, which I know absolutely NOTHING about, so if anyone has any tips for me or what programs you recommend, please let me know. I don't think I'll do whole scrapbooks, but I want to be able to make some cute things to dress up my photo albums? I'm not creative at all, and I'm really not very good at high tech things. (My dad knew how to do the whole ipod thing way before me!) So let me know what ya think...

Then I'm have having cricket issues! Those nasty little bugs keep getting in my house, I swear I've killed like 6 in the last 2 or 3 days. I've asked Trever to spray for bugs but that hasn't happened yet, they sit right outside my front door just waiting for me to open it and as soon as I do they hop right on in. I think they can feel the warmth seeping out? I've decided I hate killing crickets like 100 times more than spiders because they hop, and I just know one of these days one is going to hop on me. The other night I saw one crawling across my floor, Trev was gone elk hunting so I grabbed a shoe and went to kill it and it started hopping everywhere, I'm sure I looked so dumb jumping around, trying not to scream, but I finally got it! So, point is I HATE CRICKETS! Is anyone else having cricket issues, or do they just love my house? *By the way, don't think my house is totally infested with bugs, it's really not to bad, I usually kill them right as they come in my door*

So, as far as what's been going on lately, here's some picts...

I took Kinlee, Kenzee and 2 of her friends to see High School Musical 3 the Friday it came out (I think like 2 weeks ago). Kinlee wanted to go home about half way through it, but other than that we had a great time...

This is just Hayes playing on the floor, I just thought it was cute.

After tumbling last week I decided we better get some pumpkins since Halloween was only 2 days away. I thought she'd have fun picking out the big ones, but she was more excited to get the tiny ones, they were cheap, so she got 5 of them.

Hayes was a cute little alligator for Halloween (I fell in love with the tail on the costume)

At first Kinlee wanted to be a monkey, but as soon as she saw this purple butterfly costume she had her mind made up. It's a good thing I've enjoyed picking her costumes out the last 3 years, because I don't think I have a say anymore. At first I didn't really like it as much as others, but it really grew on me by Halloween and it fit Kinlee to a T.

Holidays are always crazy for us, we have so many places to go. So of course Halloween was no different, but we had so much fun. First I took the kids over to Grandma and Grandpa Arch's house to see Trever's side of the family. Then we went to my dads church for a trunk or treat they have every year. By the way, Trev didn't dress up as a hunter, he had just come down off the mountain to go trick or treating with the kids, what an awesome Daddy! Then we came back to our neighborhood and went to a few of our friends houses, then we went to my moms and went around her neighborhood for a while. Then Trev went back up hunting (where he missed a 6 point bull elk Saturday!)

As you can see Hayes was wore out after a long Halloween night! Here's Kinlee playing in my moms toy room with crazy hair on. (You can pop one of those rubber balls, cut it in half and use for hair, in case that little tip ever comes in handy)

Saturday we (Me, my Dad, Kenz, Kinlee, and Hayes) went to the zoo. So far I've taken the kids to the zoo every year, I usually go before school, but I was a slacker this year, so I wanted to hurry and go before it got to cold, the weather couldn't have been any better! I think it was our last day in the 70's for this year.

Ok, last picture for this post, I promise... After Trev got home Sunday from being gone hunting since Wednesday Kinlee was his little buddy. They were laying on the couch and Kin gave Trev a love and a kiss and goes "look Mom, come take our picture." I thought it was too cute!

This is what happens when you're married to a hunter...

You get deer strapped to the top of your car!!! It's a good thing I'm such a wonderful wife, lol... So Trever's friend Matt works with Andrew who had never shot a deer since they just got him into hunting last year. So Trever, Kinlee, Matt and Andrew go hunting tonight and they get this deer, and since they drove our car up there, the lucky deer got a ride home on top! Trev is on cloud 9 with his little hunter girl, Kinlee was so excited to get her camo and orange on tonight and go huntin with the guys, when Andrew shot the deer she was so excited!

My deer and elk hunt ended last week so we took Kinlee up to ride in the Ranger to see if we could find something and Trever ended up getting this grouse, so Kinlee had to go help him carry it back. We just got our Ranger a few weeks ago and we love it! It was such a pain this summer because with our fourwheeler someone always had to stay back with Hayes, our Ranger has a back seat we can put the car seats in and both kids can come with us. I really wanted the Sunset Red one but Trever (spoiled) got the Browning Edition Camo!!!

GOTTA LOVE UTAH WEATHER!

This is what we woke up to last Sunday morning! (a FEW inches) I'm not a big fan of the snow, so I wasn't too excited, especially when I was in a t-shirt the day before. It was so funny when Kinlee saw it Trev and I were standing by the front door and she walked in the kitchen, grabbed a cup, and headed for the door. So of course I said "Kin what are you doing?" she said "I'm goin to get me a cup of snow" (independent little stinker!) I think she's been dying to eat it since last winter...

By the time it quit snowing that afternoon we had 11-12 inches of snow! It was crazy, so later that afternoon I took Kinlee up to my moms to play in the snow with Kenzee, they had a blast making snow angels and building a couple snowmen! *Thanks Kenz*

Luckily all the snow melted within a couple days and I'm enjoying the 60-70 degree weather again...

AUGUST

So we all HATE flies this time of year, it seems like we can't even open the door without 20 of them flying in the house. So one day I was killing them with they fly swatter and Kinlee was going behind me, picking them up and saying they were her pet flies, so of course I think it's kinda cute but really grose, so I talked her into putting them in a baggy. If you were all wondering what on earth the pet fly thing was all about.

Well this summer has been pretty crazy and fun... My little sister Kenzee turned 9, we had fun going to her birthday parties. My dad had one as his work and we went swimming, then my mom had one the next day and the girls made this way cute soap and had a sleepover. We weren't planning on Kinlee sleeping over, but of course she thinks she's one of the big girls so she wanted to stay, and she had a blast!

The next week was Chad and Megan's wedding (Trever's sister). Congrats! Kinlee was one of the ring bearer's and she did great, it was way cute. It was fun to see everyone, our friends from North Carolina were here and Trever's sister and her family from Florida. Trever's friend Gill brought his friend Steven and they are quite the guitar players, it was fun to listen to them play and sing some good tunes. Steven liked it back here so much he's coming to stay with us for a week in November. The next day was Trever's birthday, the big 26! We didn't do much, just went up to Sourdough for Sourdough days.

On the 13th Kinlee had surgery, it was minor, she just had the skin under her top lip cut. It went really good, I was nervous she'd get scared when the doctor took her back and when she woke up because they won't let the parents go back. They said that most little kids scream when they wake up and are a little disoriented, but when Kinlee woke up the nurse said she just opened her eyes and smiled (which made me feel so much better) it was really cute, when we were in the recovery room she just kept saying she wanted her Hazer boy (which is what she calls Hayes, we had dropped him off at my moms earlier that day). She loves him so much... Trever got cut above his eye a few weeks ago and had to have stitches so Kilee was way excited to have stitches like Daddy. Anyways, I'm glad it's done so we don't have to worry about it anymore.

Last weekend we went camping again, we finally got our lot traded for the one next to my dads up on Sourdough, so we went up there and started getting it ready to camp on.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KINLEE!
Yesterday was Kinlee's birthday so my little girl is 3 now. How crazy huh? She was so excited, she's been planning her Tinkerbell birthday party for months now. Although she has plenty of toys to last her a lifetime, she got a bunch of cute things, she's been having so much fun today playing with all of them. The first thing she said when she woke up that morning was "Mommy I'm free (three) now" and she wanted to learn how to hold 3 fingers up. Trev and I got her a Barbie bike, but she still doesn't know what to think of training wheels, I keep telling her the bike just wiggles, but she insists it's going to tip over... She'll sit on it, so hopefully she'll start riding it within a few days.

Yesterday I also had my first closing! Our neighbors Mike and April were nice enough to give me the opportunity to list their house. I really enjoyed working with them and living next to them, they were seriously the best neighbors, we are really going to miss them. :(

It's A Boy, Congrats Matt, Kelly and Ace!

OUR SUMMER SO FAR...

K, well I've started to notice I'm a picture FREAK... I've added some more pictures to the end of the slide show thing. Last Friday we went to the Dinosaur Park, which was pretty fun, but once a year is enough for me. The girls seemed to like it, I think their favorite part was feeding the fish (which were huge), the ducks and the bunnies...

Hayes started eating rice cereal this week, pretty exciting huh? Anyways it is pretty cute, he grabs your hand and pulls the spoon to his mouth.

Then yesterday my Mom had the day off so we (Me, my Mom, Kenzee, Kinlee & Hayes) went to Lagoon. We had a GREAT time! The kids loved it and it was so much fun watching them. I know I've said it before but Kinlee is seriously a little dare devil (she loves that kind of stuff like me I guess) I swear she would have gone on any ride, thank goodness she's still too small for the big ones!!! Every time she would get off a ride, she would come running, saying "it tickled my tummy!" and laugh. We were there all day, and as you can see, she was wore out!
Our summer has been pretty fun so far. In June we didn't do much, but we've had a busy July. We took Kinlee to ride go-carts one day, we heard she could ride on one of our laps, but when we got there they said she was too small so we let her play some games at the arcade and she had fun riding some rides. The week of the 4th we went to Island Park and stayed with my Dad and Kenzee, they were up there for a week, but we were only able to go for a few days. It was so beautiful, we camped right off the river. The river is really slow and is only about 1 1/2 ft deep so we were able to take the kids down in a raft. Kinlee & Kenzee had fun leaning over the edge to play in the water, and of course Hayes took a nap! One day while we were there we took a ride to Big Springs where a guy named John Sacs built a cabin and all its furnishings by hand years ago, it was amazing. Oh, and the best part, on the way back we stopped and had Huckleberry ice cream, YUMMY!While we were camping there were a few sightings of a couple black bears around camp -lucky- anyways the picture of the paw print in the mud is from one of them. On the way home we stopped at Bear World in Rexburg, it was the coolest thing ever, I highly recommend it! You drive through and there are bears EVERYWHERE! We had one come right up and put it's nose on the window, and a couple other's come right up to the car. Then they have a petting zoo with deer, baby deer, goats, pigs & chickens. The kids thought it was fun. After we got done there the girls went over and rode rides, we were worried if Kinlee would like them, but of course you can see her waving over the edge of the one ride. I tell ya she really is a little dare devil! My Grandpa Brown passed away about a month and a half ago, so on the way home Friday we stopped in Pocatello and stayed the night in a hotel with my mom and everybody so we could help clean some things out Saturday. Friday night was fun, we went swimming and watched fireworks since it was the 4th. When we left Pocatello Saturday we stopped in Malad and visited my friend Mandi who was here from Oklahoma, it was fun to see her and show her the kids. This past weekend we went camping up on Sourdough, I love it up there, we went on 4-wheeler rides, fishing and hung out by the fire, and of course we ate good! We love cooking in the dutch ovens. We went to the park the other day but we went in the middle of the day and it was WAY TOO HOT! My list of things to do the rest of the summer includes: Going swimming more, going to the zoo, going to the dinosaur park, riding horses and going camping more, so watch for more picts...

I love this picture... Hayes had his binkie in his mouth and right as I took the picture he dropped it and smiled. He is such a happy baby, he's been so much fun. Kinlee has been a GREAT big sister, she loves Hayes so much.

Kinlee's 1st Barrel Race!!!

Well my little girl had her first barrel race (and I loved it!) She did great, it was so cute, she did this little trot thing. Her favorite part was getting her trophy. Now she wants to start practicing to run on Ponytail, her little mini horse. I think the whole stick horse thing was kinda boring for my little dare devil...

PICTURE DAY...

Yesterday was picture day! What do ya think? (after 3 long hours)
As you can tell Hayes really likes to sleep...
