A few of you have asked how I got my name at the bottom of my posts, so I thought I'd share my two most favorite sites with you real quick... You can go here to kevinandamanda.com and if you scroll down on her home page you will find the tutorial that explains how to do the signature. This is also the site I use to get all of my awesome handwriting fonts for FREE! (I've also tried a bunch of her yummy recipes and they are yummy, I'm actually making the "Creamy Chicken Enchaladas" tonight because we love them so much...
You can go to my other favorite site here (nicoleyoungdesigns.blogspot.com) she has the cutest digital scrapbooking kits and every Friday she gives away a FREEBIE! You can purchase all of her kits here at digitalscrapbookplace.com I think I have over 45 of her kits now. I used her "Zoobaloo" kit to make my current background and header, and I also stole her idea of putting the pictures on my background. (Her blog is also where I read the tutorial of how to make your own background and header). Enjoy!
Maybe one of these days I will tackle the task of actually posting what we've been up to the last few months, but the longer I wait the harder it's getting. Hmmm, maybe that will be on my to-do list while Trever is Antelope hunting all week...

RODEO
Now that I can hold my eyes open I'll finish my last post, here's the video and some pictures from Kin's rodeo. The neighbor boys were signing up for the mutton busting and she INSISTED on signing up, even after we told her they were going to be big and run fast, well she chickened out! She was standing on the back of the buckin shoots and goes "I am NOT riding a sheep, they are too big" and that was the end of that, and there went $20 for nothing. Oh well, at least we tried to support her in what she wanted to do (it at least makes me feel better to say that)!

LOVIN SUMMER
First off, my embarrasing story that landed me at the ER from 9-midnightish about a month ago.
BEWARE OF THESE CANS

See what happened was Kenzee had a late softball game and since I'm such a wonderful mom and wife we didn't eat dinner before the game, so when we got home about 8:30 I started cooking some dinner, trying to hurry, I opened the can of cream of chicken soup for my yummy chicken dinner stuff. Anyways I ended up slicing my hand somehow, don't ask me how I did it, but I did. It was the kind of can where you pull the lid off, so beware of that kind! So Trev could stay and put the kids to bed, my wonderful Dad took me up to the hospital and waited with me for 3 LONG hours where I swore we were going to leave with some sort of flu or sickness with all the people throwing up around us. Needless to say it wasn't very fun, and luckily we didn't leave with any nasty germs. Here's my lovely stitches that I had to leave in for 12 whole days, IT WAS A PAIN!!!

Hayes is in a funny/cute stage lately and I just can't help but take a ton of pictures, here's a few of my favorites...
Did I mention he likes to climb! Not just a little bit, he is constantly climbing, in toys, on tables, on the tv, couches, bed, toilets, seriously he climbs EVERYTHING!

Here he is taking after his Daddy, I'm afraid I have another little hunter on my hands. Ps. Check out that belly, haha

He LOVES playing in Kinlee's jeep...

My handsome little guy

The other day we got the horses out and finally gave them a bath, isn't Kinlee's horse "Ponytail" the cutest!

Kinlee and our little neighbor Chet are pretty much inseparable, they are the best little buddies, anyways here they are playing "family" Chet was the Dad, Kinlee was the Mom, then notice the baby in between, how cute is that! Don't worry she plays boy stuff with him all the time too.

Poor Hayes all that playing can wear a little boy out, I couldn't believe he actually fell asleep like this.

Since it's now 1:30am I'm going to bed, as soon as I get a sec I'll post the pictures and video from Kinlee's rodeo.... Goodnight...

It's been 2 months maybe it's time for an update!
I'll start from the first of April.
It was finally warm enough to take the kids riding so here's Kinlee on Ponytail

And here's Hayes' first horse ride, he loved it.

SIMPSON SPRINGS
For Easter weekend we went camping at Simpson Springs, we had a great time. There were about 15 trailers in our group parked in a big circle with these little 4-wheeler hills close by, the kids lived on those hills from the time they woke up until it was time for dinner. Kenzee took Kinlee on a ride and they had a little crash in some sage brush but luckily they didn't get hurt. One day we rode out to the geobeds and broke them open, then another day we went on a long ride to some old abandoned mines. We came home Saturday night so we'd be home for Easter. Here's some pictures of the trip...
Digging at the geobeds

And here's what we found

Kinlee flying a kite

Old mine

And here's what we brought home (the kids caught a bunch of lizzards while we were down there and these 2 were Kinlee's, she kept wanting to bring them home and we were hoping she'd forget about them, well we left -without the lizzards so we thought- but the next morning Trever was cleaning out the truck and found the lizzards in their little container under the front seat, Grandpa Talbot thought we needed 2 more pets so he hid them there. So now Sunshine and Izzybo are part of the family. The joke was on him though when he told Kenzee she could bring hers home, thinking she had 2 and finding out there was really 4 in her container when they got home!!! How funny is that!)

TURKEY HUNTING
Trever had a turkey tag in Beaver so he took Kinlee turkey hunting with him and his dad. She was so excited to go and had so much fun but the day before they came home she got sick, poor girl, good thing her Daddy took such good care of her.

DADDY DAUGHTER SLEEPOVER
Trever has been waiting since Kinlee was born to sleep out back in a tent, and they FINALLY got to. I was at bunco that night and they couldn't wait for me to get home so they could go camping (so Hayes wasn't inside by himself) so anyways here they are on their little campout. I'm sure when Hayes is a little older all 4 of us are gonna be having campouts.
Here they are going to bed

The next morning, still sleeping!

KINLEE'S DANCE RECITAL
Then a couple weekends ago was Kinlee's dance recital. She did awesome! I think it's just a big accomplishment for the little girls to even get up on stage in front of all those people, then to try to dance on top of that, I thought she did great! They danced to the kung foo fighting song. She decided next year she wants to try the cheerleading class, she's pretty excited about that. Hopefully she likes it.

Almost done...
SNOWVILLE CAMP TRIP
For Memorial weekend we went camping in Snowville with Trever's family and friends. It was fun to get out and ride the ranger and play with the kids. It rained a little bit, but other than that the weather was nice and we had a good time.
Our camping rig (I know you're all jealous of our trailer, haha, but hey it has beds, a heater, a bathroom, and running water, much better than a tent)

Kinlee and Macie in the ranger.

Trev teaching Kinlee how to shoot a gun, she loved it and kept wanting to shoot more.

Sittin by the fire

Right before we left Hayes found the mud and he was just having too much fun to make him stop playing in it.

K, well I think that's all for now. I say it everytime, but I'll try to get better about posting more.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYES!
I can't believe how fast time flies, it's crazy to think Kinlee is going to be 4 and Hayes is 1. We had a party for Hayes last night, he got so many cute things! He's taking a few steps on his own, so hopefully he'll be walking soon

Here's his birthday cake (obviously)!

Lucky he has such a good BIG sister to help him eat his cake!

As you can see Hayes REALLY enjoyed his cake, we finally took it away so he wouldn't get sick.
Well besides Hayes turning one, here's a little update on what's been going on. Kinlee has loved the warmer weather, well except for this week :( since it's been FREEZING... She loves being outside playing with all her friends, we are so lucky to have so many around where we live. Chet is the friend she plays with the most, and with his older brothers and Aunt Kenzee, they tease them that they're boyfriend, girlfriend. So one day Kinlee goes "Chet has a girlfriend (in a cute teasing voice), so I go "Oh, really who's that?" Kinlee- "Me!" So she thinks that's pretty funny. So then one day we were listening to the radio and Kinlee says she doesn't like the song that's on, so the next song that came on was Sweet Thing by Keith Urban, so I say "Kinlee do you know what this song is called?" she says "No" so I say "It's called Sweet Thing" then she responds "I'm Chet's sweet thing!" I about died laughing, where do they come up with these things!
Trever took Kinlee on a ride last weekend on the Ranger, they had way too much fun. She's such a dare devil, she just wanted to go faster and faster, and kept making Trever go through the mud and would love it when the mud would get on her. She wouldn't let Trev wash the mud off, she had to leave it on so she could come home and show me. Here they are having a snack.

Well that's all for now, I'll try to post more often!

Happy 50th Dad!
It was my Dad's 50th birthday on Wed. We took him to dinner then had his work call and say there was an emergency and that he needed to come in, since it happens quite often. So everyone was already there and SURPRISE! We had a great time, thanks everyone for coming and making it such a fun night...

IT'S FINALLY DONE (well at least the bedspread) now I just need to do the bed skirt and pillows. Then I'm going to paint the bottom half of Kinlee's walls a light brown.

Last Friday Kinlee and Kenzee did a half time dance/cheer thing at Roy high, they had so much fun! Kinlee is such a little cheerleader.

Our Superbowl Luck...
Last year Kinlee got sick a couple days before the Superbowl, but about an hour before kickoff she started having trouble breathing, so we took her up to the ER where she had to have 2 breathing treatments and some meds (she ended up having Croup) It was kind of funny because we got there like right at kickoff and were leaving right as the game ended. (2008)

So anyways Hayes woke up with a fever Saturday morning so I gave him medicine, but it just wouldn't help bring it down very well so I called the doc and they said since he only had a fever not to worry and that if it reached 104 to bring him in. So it just kind of went up and down Saturday and Sunday, UNTIL THE GAME STARTED! It was time for his Motrin and after that it just started climbing, by the 4th quarter it was 103.9 so we decided the doc better see him, so off to the ER we went! They tested him for RSV, Influenza and Neumonia (Sp?) and everything was ok, so they said it was just a virus and do the usual. His fever has been doing better now, but he's still not feeling the best. So if anything happens next Superbowl Sunday the Superbowl is banned from our house!!! lol. I hate seeing the kids sick, but I love how snuggly they are! By the way, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm one of those people that go to the emergency room for any little thing, I don't think I've been there since I broke my arm in like 3rd grade.

My sewing machine that I got for Christmas came in a couple weeks ago, so I've started my first sewing project. I'm making Kinlee a new bedspread, I wanted to do her room in brown and pink, but I wasn't able to find the right bedspread (well I finally found one but it only comes in crib size) so I found this material at Ben Franklin's and it was just what I was looking for. I'm making it like a big rag quilt. Hopefully it will be done this week!

K, just one more thing, every night when Trever goes out to feed the dogs Kinlee rushes over to the door and locks him out! She just sits and laughs and thinks its the funniest thing ever! I think it's really cute, but I'm glad it's not me locked out in the cold...

The 5 Lessons

I just had to tell everyone what a GREAT book this is! I bought the original one about 5 years ago and read it about 3 times, then last week I went to hear Richard Paul Evans speak about his new book The 5 Lessons a Millionaire Taught me For Woman, and bought it, well last night I read almost half of it. It's so simple and easy to understand and I swear everytime I do what it teaches we are so much better off financially, then for some dumb reason I start slacking, then read the book again and do much better. So anyways I highly recommend that every single woman go buy this book and buy your husband the original (Trev has read that one too) then you are both on the same page. The women's one is so cool because so many parts are directed right to us! He grew up extremely poor and went hear a guy speak at church one Saturday when he was 12 about these 5 lessons, anyways he did what the guy said and is now passing on the information. He said he wanted to make a book to help others, not to make him rich, so he decided the only way to truly do that was to give all profits to charity, so he started The Christmas Box House, which helps abused kids. This book has helped me so much, so hopefully it will help everyone else... Let me know what ya think!
